‘Mai Zindagi ka saath nibhata chala gaya,’ from the popular black and white classic hit of 1961 ‘Hum Dono’ which starred Dev Anand was finally premiered in its colored version.

The premiere was attended by some of the big celebrities of Bollywood like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Prem Chopra, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Shatrughan and Luv Sinha, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman, Govinda, Bappi Lahiri, Ganesh Acharya, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Divya Dutta and Jackie Shroff.

Salman Khan made the red carpet entry with his ‘Partner’ co-star Govinda. After watching the movie, Salman could not stop himself from writing on his Twitter wall that it is a ‘must must must watch’.

Dev Anand’s cult classic Hum Dono is releasing in colour on February 4 this year.

The veteran actor invited the army chief as the main guest at the premiere, which is likely to include a lot of B-Towners as well. Anand says, “Since the film pays a tribute to the Indian army, during the premiere of Hum Dono in 1961 I had invited Lieutenant General Choudhary, who was the area commander in Southern Command then.

He was an important man. He asked me to come to the Gun house in Bombay.

From Kajol to Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor, from Amitabh Bachchan to Rajnikanth, SRK, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan, everyone has been invited to attend the grand premiere of Dev Anand’s evergreen classic entertainer Hum Dono in color.

The stylish superstar has been personally inviting the actors from various film industries to attend the show. Especially he wants the younger generation of actors to watch the film as they would have heard about it, but never had a chance to watch as it was released 50 years back.

After ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and ‘Naya Daur’, the coloured version of black and white classic ‘Hum Dono’, starring evergreen Dev Anand, is expected to hit the marquee soon, said a source close to the legendary actor.
